ABOUT STUDIO MUSE

Based in New Zealand, Studio Muse is dedicated to the creation of conscious and thoughtful design. Founded by Matisse Whittfield, the studio works within the domains of interior architecture — both commercial and residential — as well as styling and creative direction. 

The essence of our work is a holistic and collaborative process from ideation through to realisation, guiding towards the concept of balance. A balance between form and function, order and openness, without the interference of trends or technology noise. 

With each design, we place an importance on aesthetic simplicity and human experience, guided by the client or brand, to ensure a high-quality outcome that provides both longevity and attention to detail — a design that may seem simple but executes a deeper remedy. 

Since the establishment of Studio Muse, we have seen significant growth in our portfolio of work in a short period of time. To ensure we provide a level of service that we expect of ourselves, and that our clients expect of us, the boutique essence of what we pr ovide will remain true in order to provide a personalised service to our clients. 

While the in-house team is small, we work alongside industry partners to ensure our clients requirements and timelines are meet. We have close working relationships with Architects, Engineers, and Main Contractors, while also seeking additional support for large scale projects requiring CAD technicians and rendering expertise, only when required. 

We value these connections, and ensure each project team is tailored to suit each projects requirements. 

While every project differs and calls for their own unique requirements, Studio Muse are experienced in providing ultimately a turnkey service.
